Tibial Plateau Fracture

Plain films of the right knee demonstrate depression of the lateral tibial plateau. There is a large lipohemarthrosis seen on the cross-table lateral view with fluid-fluid level caused by marrow fat layering on top of blood. CT below demonstrates the same findings. The depressed lateral plateau is seen nicely on the 2D coronal reconstruction and the fat fluid level in the suprapatellar bursa is shown on the axial image.
