Epididymitis

Nuclear Medicine

Flow and static images from nuclear medicine testicular scan show increased flow to the left testicle on both early and late imaging. In this patient with left testicular pain, the findings are compatible with left epididymitis.

 

 

 

 

Ultrasound

Grayscale and color Doppler imaging of the scrotum shows enlargement of the epididymal head with increased blood flow, compatible with epididymitis. A septated hydrocele is also present, compatible with an infected hydrocele.
