ATM: An ATM machine is located in the main
lobby of Scott Hall across from the elevators.
AUDIO/VISUAL SERVICES: Any AV needs such as projectors, overheads or
videotaping can be coordinated through AV Services or by calling (313) 577-1490.
BUILDING ISSUES, CONCERNS AND REQUESTS: Heating, cooling, lighting, plumbing, painting,
small jobs (i.e. hanging a picture), or any other building concerns can be
brought to the attention of the Building Coordinator by calling (313) 577-1460.
CAFETERIA: The Cafeteria is located on the first floor on the west side of the building. The
Cafeteria is open for breakfast from 7:30am until 10:00am and for lunch from
11:00am till 1:30pm. For more information contact the AVI office at (313) 577-4555.
COMPUTER SUPPORT: All computer-related problems should be directed to the Medical School Information Systems Help Desk by calling (313) 577-1527, or emailing helpdesk@med.wayne.edu.
CONFERENCE ROOM SCHEDULING: In addition to a state-of-the-art training facility, the School of Medicine is fully equipped to host a variety of educational events. Meeting rooms can accommodate groups of 20-250.
Requests to reserve rooms in Scott Hall should be emailed to fssrooms@med.wayne.edu.
Conference room keys can be signed out at and returned to the information window at 1102 Scott Hall. There is an
after-hours drop box located on the front counter for your convenience. Students must first obtain approval from Student Affairs before requesting conference room reservations.
COPY SERVICES: Kinko’s is located at 2276 Scott Hall. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am till 4:30pm. Request for service can be made by calling (313) 577-1031. COURIER SERVICE: The courier delivers mail between the School of Medicine Campus and the Main Campus of
Wayne State University. The courier delivers to the Academic and Administration
Building, Faculty Administration Building and other select locations on this
twice-daily run. The courier WILL NOT handle hazardous/biological materials or personal packages/mail.
DRY ICE: The dry ice box is located inside the dock area next to shipping and receiving at Scott Hall. Dry ice is
provided to all research departments for use on experiments and in labs. To obtain dry ice, visit room 1102 Scott Hall to obtain the key. The key is signed out and returned when done. After business hours, the key is available for signout at the guard's desk. Dry ice is also delivered to the receiving docks at Lande, Elliman and Mott Center.
INTER-OFFICE/U.S. MAIL: There is a U.S. Mailbox located on each floor of Scott
Hall near the elevators. U.S. Mail is picked up at approximately 1:00 p.m. and
5:00 p.m. each day. Interoffice mailboxes are located in room 1212 Scott Hall.

KEY REQUESTS: Key request forms are used by department and medical school employees to request
new keys and key cores. All key requests for the School of Medicine buildings
are turned in to the Facilities and Support Services (FSS) office for approval and processing.
LAUNDRY SERVICES: Laundry services covers laundry for approved departments. Laundry service
request forms can be obtained from the Information Office, 1102 Scott Hall.
Take laundry (i.e. lab coats) to
Shipping and Receiving before 5:00pm on Tuesday. The white canvas laundry cart is
located in the bay area of Shipping and Receiving at Scott Hall.
LOST AND FOUND: Lost and Found is located at the Information Office window, 1102 Scott Hall.
MOVE PLANNING AND SERVICES: The FSS office handles surplus equipment and internal moves within the
building for WSU Faculty and Staff.
Requests for moves should be emailed to Sheryl MacGillis. Larger moves will require advanced planning.
ONECARDS: The WSU OneCard offers a "cashless" environment to its cardholders by debiting funds from their account. The card can be used for parking, door access, copying and printing services, as well as food and bookstore purchases.

School of Medicine Faculty, Staff, Medical Students, and Graduate Students may obtain a
OneCard by visiting Biomedical Communications in 1367 Scott Hall, during the following times: TUESDAY 1:00pm -
4:00pm FRIDAY 9:00am - 11:00am

requiring access to the card readers at any School of Medicine buildings or Shiffman
Library (24 hour study room) should complete CARD KEY ACCESS REQUEST FORM available at
the Information Office. After this request is approved, applicant will need to
take their One Card to WSU Public Safety at 76 W. Hancock for encoding.
PARKING: Employee parking is available in Parking Structure 4 on Canfield. Visitor parking is available in the surface
lot on Canfield for $3.50, payable upon entry. Additional campus parking information can be found at http://parking.wayne.edu.
SECURITY: The Security desk (phone (313) 577-1110) is located in the main lobby of Scott Hall.
In case of emergency, contact WSU Police at 7-2222. Anyone entering Scott Hall without proper
identification must sign in. After 6:00pm, all persons entering the building must show proper
identification (i.e. OneCard or hospital ID). Guests accompanying persons with proper ID after
6:00pm must sign in. Please be prepared to show your One Card or hospital ID at all times.
SMOKING AREAS: Wayne State University is a
smoke-free environment. A designated smoking area is located outside of Scott Hall's entrance.
An outdoor sitting area with tables and ashtrays is
located at the west side of Scott Hall.
TELEPHONE SERVICE AND VOICE MAIL REQUESTS: Telephone Service/Voice Mail Request forms must be
completed to transfer/install phone and data lines.

TSR/VMX forms should be downloaded, printed, completed, and delivered to the FSS office.

and returned to the FSS office and must include an account number and department
administrator signature at the bottom.
