MISSION
The Mission of the CRCM
is to promote knowledge in the art and science of medicine in
order to improve methods to prevent, cure and treat childhood
diseases. To
achieve these goals, the CRCM uses a combination of strategies.
First
and foremost, the CRCM provides an environment that supports
scientific inquiry in association with a training-ground for
biomedical researchers, including clinicians, basic science
investigators, postdoctoral fellows,
residents, medical and graduate students. The establishment of an optimal
research environment is achieved because the CRCM built on the
very rich scientific and clinical structure that existed at CHM,
the Detroit Medical
Center and Wayne State University. This approach guarantees that the
CRCM will always reach its potential while fostering increased
multidisciplinary intra- and inter-institutional research programs,
which is the embodiment
of the CRCM Vision. |
