What is a Multi-Discipline Laboratory?
A multidiscipline laboratory or MD lab is a multipurpose, flexible
use room that can be configured and prepared for a variety of activities.
Behind each main lab there is an inner lab configured for use as a
bench top work area and storage space for use with student experiments.
The school of medicine has 12 MD labs located on the second and third
floors of Gordon Scott Hall. For exact locations please check this
floor plan. These 12 rooms serve as the
home base for first and second year medical students.
Each
MD lab is equipped with the following:

Each Inner Lab is equipped with the following:
- Sinks
with running hot and cold water
- Two
Incubator (1 each CO2 and air)
- Two
refrigerators
- One
large work table
- Base and wall mounted storage cabinets for supplies and equipment

How are MD Labs used in the curriculum?
