Distance Education

Distance Education involves the transmitting of a live event from the School of Medicine to one or more institutions. It can also provide students access to specifically designed media materials, via on demand, streaming media, at remote teaching locations, from our servers.

Video Conferencing involves transmitting live events from one location to another using our Conferencing System. This technology allows persons at each end to have a two-way video/audio conference. The system also includes a 35mm slide projector and a combination opaque-overhead projector for X-rays and paper documents, both of which have built-in video cameras, to allow images to be shown that will enhance the discussion. Media Production produces audio and/or video programs for tape, Web sites, CD-ROM's and other forms of distribution to allow students access to learning materials from remote locations.  This system is a very affordable solution for distance teaching, meetings and telemedicine applications. Contact Media Production for more information.
