Campus Safety
|
Campus safety at Wayne State University is both a priority and a hard fact. Our schools impressive safety record compares favorably with that of other large universities in the country. The scarcity of violent crime on campus is due largely due to efforts of the Wayne State University Police who provide 24-hour patrol, 7 days a week, for the Universitys campuses and the surrounding area. Officers of the Wayne State University Police Department hold a baccalaureate degree (or higher) and have the same responsibilities and authority as any Police Officer in Michigan. They can be immediately reached by phone at 140 locations in the campus vicinity at any time of the day or night. Our Police force, in addition to the men and women of the Detroit Police Department, provide peace of mind to students, faculty, and staff at Wayne State University. |
