To Mix
Add kaolin to saline in small Erlenmeyer flask,
stir with small stir bar. Heating is not necessary; kaolin will dissolve
in about 10 minutes.
To Sterilize
Plug Erlenmeyer flask with rubber stopper in which a 18 gauge needle has
been inserted (required to relieve pressure and keep stopper from popping
off). Sterilize for 20 minutes in auto- clave. Re-sterilize after each
use.
