a "Pulsatile Flow" Shunt

Dr. Sandeep Sood’s pioneering work in CSF
mechanics has led to a unique patent for a new shunt valve that
takes into consideration the to-and-fro (pulsatile) flow of
CSF that occurs with each heart beat. Now that the patent has
been approved, we will be working to build several prototypes
that can be tested before manufacturing the valve for commercial
use. |
