Dr. Harry Goshgarian is
a Professor of Anatomy/Cell Biology at Wayne State University
in Detroit, Michigan, USA. His doctorate is from
the University of Michigan in Anatomy. He also obtained a
Master's Degree in Anatomy at Michigan. His undergraduate degree
is from
the University of Massachusetts in Zoology. Dr. Goshgarian
completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes
of Health
in Bethesda, Maryland in the Section on Neuronal Development
and Regeneration, NINCDS/LNC. He did a research sabbatical in the
Department
of Neurology at Aachen University School of Medicine, Aachen,
Federal Republic of Germany. Dr. Goshgarian’s lab at Wayne
State University has worked on the issues surrounding respiratory
function
and dysfunction after spinal cord injury for the past 25
years. He designs and administrates both the clinical and basic
science
studies as well as being involved in the data analyses.

Dr. George
Tzelepis, a Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist, is an Associate
Professor of Medicine at the Wayne State University School of
Medicine and an Attending Physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical
Center
in Detroit, MI. His research focuses on improving respiratory
muscle performance in patients with diseases. He monitors and adjusts
drug dosage levels in our clinical study patients and is also
involved
in the interpretation and analysis of data.

Amy Bascom-Lattin is a respiratory therapist with
12 years of clinical experience and a graduate student in the department
of Anatomy and
Cell Biology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Amy
handles patient scheduling, accompanies patients on their visits,
draws theophylline
blood levels, and coordinates many aspects of the study.
