• If a person lives or dies outside Southeastern Michigan, or in another state, arrangements for a body donation should be made with the nearest medical school.
  • At present, Wayne State University School of Medicine accepts body donations from the Southeastern part of Michigan which includes the thumb area, with consideration given to some counties such as: Bay, Saginaw and Genesee. In most of these cases, the University will incur the expenses involved for transportation.
