Lampoon 2012! 
Greetings! Each year, we organize a charity event, LAMPOON, to raise money for a local Detroit area charity. Through past events we have raised money for charitable organizations such as City Year, Summer in the City, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, National Marrow Donor Program, and Motor City Blight Busters. During LAMPOON, the medical students from all four classes and the faculty write, act, and produce their own skits to parody life at Wayne State and in medical school. It is also a time in which we honor outstanding teachers and faculty with the presentation of the annual Lamp and Staff Awards.
The charity for LAMPOON 2012 is the non-profit organization DO Foundation. DO Foundation operates under the belief that “ALL PEOPLE, no matter their 
walk of life, are entitled to Dignity, Respect and the Opportunity to realize or regain a life of self-sufficiency through community involvement and assistance”. This belief is realized by directly connecting with the homeless in Detroit, “hitting the streets” and providing local homeless people with clothes, hygiene products, and an ear to hear their story. While the Aesculapians regularly assist with the donation and distribution of these products, the DO Foundation provides so much more for homeless individuals, including a resource center where people can wash their clothes, take a hot shower, or make a phone call. In addition, DO Foundation works on an individual basis to connect people with local shelters, transitional housing, job placement, financial literacy education, and medical & mental health facilities, just to name a few.

About The DO Foundation
The Do Foundation holds the essential belief that ALL PEOPLE, no matter their walk of life, are entitled to Dignity, Respect and the Opportunity to realize or regain a life of self-sufficiency through community involvement and assistance, as opposed to living in an unsheltered state of homelessness.
The Mission of the DO Foundation (DOF) is to connect directly with the homeless for a personal account of their immediate needs, and to generate community support in conjunction with implementing cost-effective programs to aid & assist them with meeting those needs. Homelessness is indiscriminate. Likewise, the DO Foundation will remain open to the needs of those who are homeless, whether their state of homelessness is to due to financial hardship, mental health related issues, addiction, flight from abusive circumstances, or lack of general support, as often is the case with Veterans and former inmates transitioning back into the community.

VIP tickets each include guarantee premiere reserved seating, voting privileges for 'Best Video', 2 drink tickets, and snacks during the event.
We aren't distributing physical tickets this season. Your confirmation email from PayPal will confirm your ticket and we will have a list of those who have purchased tickets at the event. All of our sponsors will be featured in the Lampoon program, and will receive verbal recognition during the 2012 Lampoon event.
Silver Level
Silver Level sponsors will have their name displayed on the slideshow prior to the show, as well as a 30 second commercial slot during the 2012 Lampoon event.
Gold Level
In addition to the Silver Level perks, the Gold Level sponsor will be invited to say a few words at the 2012 Lampoon event. The Gold Level sponsor will also enjoy being named as an official sponsor at any Press Release events, and their logo will appear on all advertisements for the 2012 Lampoon event.
Advertise in our Program
Advertise your practice or group, or say hello to friends and family by purchasing an advertisement in the 2012 Lampoon program.
To purchase an advertisement, please select your desired dimensions, and complete your purchase order. After you have received your confirmation number, please email aesculapians@gmail.com with the subject heading "Lampoon Advertisement" with your advertisement attached in JPEG, TIF, or PDF format, and be sure to include your Name, Contact Email or Phone, and the Order Confirmation Number. Advertisements must be submitted in the proper dimensions and in landscape format.

If you are unable to attend Lampoon 2012, you can still help contribute by making a donation! It need not be a large sum, the smallest financial support can go a long way in helping the DO Foundation and the life of a person who is homeless. If you would like to make a donation, there is a "PayPal" link below. This process is entirely secure; your credit card information will not be distributed to anyone, including the Aesculapians group. Your donation will be transferred directly to our designated account without the use of a third party. Donations can be personal or anonymous, and may be in any amount that you wish.
