Gleaners Food Bank runs 6 distribution centers in Southeast Michigan. The centers provide food to organizations that serve the needy with dignity. Individuals are able to go to a local distribution location and shop the aisles just like a supermarket, taking what they need to get through the upcoming weeks. The facilities that Gleaners supplies are not allowed to ask clients to pay or pray for their aid.
We will be going to Gleaners to pack boxes for distribution throughout the metro area. In the past our group has packed over 21,000 pounds of food in one morning.
