Greetings from the Vice Dean for Medical Education
Welcome to the Wayne State University School of Medicine. I am very pleased that you are interested in learning more about our medical education programs by exploring this site.
Our curriculum and our learning environment are designed to prepare our medical students to become outstanding physicians; physicians who practice medicine based upon the most recent science and caring compassionate physicians who strive to understand and connect with the patient. We emphasize disease prevention and health promotion as the best approach to improve the health and well-being of our patients and the community. The faculty and student body are committed to caring for our community and providing services to those most in need. The Fabric of Society Co-Curricular Program and the Student Run Free Clinic are but two examples of this commitment. Wayne State University School of Medicine, with our clinical campus partners, sponsors numerous outstanding residency and fellowship graduate medical education programs that are available to our students as they continue their clinical training.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about the school and our medical education programs.
