Thank you for your interest in Wayne State University School of Medicine. This Self-Assessment Guide should be used as a tool to identify and address any deficiencies in your application before applying to the medical school. Applicants who have been unsuccessful at gaining admissions to medical school are expected to engage in realistic self-appraisal and self-improvement efforts before reapplication. Unsuccessful applicants to the medical school are encouraged to review the Self-Assessment Guide and initiate improvement strategies immediately.
If you would like to meet with someone from our office, the Self-Assessment Guide must be completed and submitted to our office. You may e-mail the Self-Assessment to admissions@med.wayne.edu or it may be faxed to 313-577-9420. Please include your name, e-mail address and telephone number indicating the best method to contact you. Your materials will be reviewed and we will contact you with further information. Please allow at least one week to review your materials.
