Interview Process
The Admissions Committee is made up of clinicians, basic science faculty, medical students and faculty of the medical school. Interviews are scheduled based on interviewers, availability and are typically held Mondays through Fridays from September through April. Some are scheduled in the mornings and some in the afternoons. If the day that you are scheduled for is inconvenient, please call and we will try to accommodate your schedule. The interview is conducted by one member of the committee or two if one is a student. The interview lasts approximately one hour. The interviewer has a complete application including the secondary application which consists of letters of recommendation, and essays. This interview is an opportunity for us to gain more knowledge about you. The interviewer will then present your application to the entire committee and decisions will be released on the next offer day.
There are seven rounds of offer, occurring monthly from October through April. The specific dates will be given when you arrive for your interview. On that day, applicants who have interviewed can call the office to find out their status. They will either be offered a place, placed on the alternate list, or no longer considered.
