Recognized Student Organizations:
Outreach: Organizations provide WSU-SOM students with varied opportunities to develop partnerships within the Detroit Metropolitan area. Students involved in these groups will understand that positive change is most effective when there is continued interaction with the community. These programs are designed to promote an in depth, yearlong commitment for medical students. It may be necessary to choose more than one organization in which to be involved to complete the twenty-five hours required per year.
Volunteer Opportunities : Twenty-five hours required for co-curricular credit must be fulfilled by volunteering. These groups listed will have specific activities in which you can become involved. Individuals may also call to set up separate volunteer opportunities. All others must be pre-approved by Georgia Wilder for credit to be granted.
