
Congratulations were exchanged among students who were recognized for outstanding achievement during academic year 1997-98. An honors convocation ceremony was held this past September to celebrate their success.
"Its very difficult to get into medical school, but its an even bigger challenge to get to this point," said Robert Sokol, MD, dean of the School of Medicine. "We do this to celebrate what the medical school is about; that is, educating students and training the physicians of the future. We are proud of your achievements and we are proud to have you represent the School."
Receiving honors were 30 students from the Class of 2001, 43 from the Class of 2000, and 42 from the Class of 1999. In addition, the following awards were presented:
