
The annual Ethnic Week celebration at the Wayne State University School of Medicine promotes understanding and appreciation of a diverse collection of cultures. Medical students, faculty and staff promote cultural awareness through a week-long series of events including panel discussions, timely lectures, ethnic fashion shows, talent shows, and a sampling of cuisine from around the world.

This traditional celebration supports Wayne States mission of diversity in medical education. In fact, the WSU School of Medicine has one of the most ethnically diverse student bodies in the nation and ranks seventh in the number of underrepresented minority graduates.
