Students Join Organized Medicine
The Schools future alumni showed an impressive response to a recent recruitment effort by Wayne County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society and the American Medical Association. In only a few hours, about 100 students became new members of the organizations, bringing student membership in WCMS to more than 400 members this year.
In addition to an increase in membership, student influence in organized medicine is also on the rise with medical students showing a strong presence at local, regional and national meetings.
