Medical Alumni Association President Dr. Bruce Deschere, ’77, hosted a reception and wine tasting in conjunction with the Michigan State Medical Society’s annual meeting. Held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dearborn, Mich., the event was sponsored by the alumni association and featured a survey of Italian wines. John Jonna of Merchant’s Fine Wine, an authority on wine-producing regions of Italy, described the process by which complex factors interact to produce distinctive vintages and provided samples to illustrate his instructive talk.
