Town & Country lauds alums

In a guide to outstanding primary care physicians in the United States appearing in the August issue of Town & Country magazine, six medical alumni were among 12 individuals cited as exemplary Detroit area practitioners. Describing their survey as  “selective, not comprehensive,” the magazine’s editors explained that they sought “examples” of excellence rather than a complete inventory of “the best” doctors.

The list of physicians was compiled in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd., medical guide publishers. Criteria included “peer references, reviews of credentials, certifications and disciplinary histories, as well as bedside manner, openness to alternative treatments and other qualitative data.” The WSU alums included were:

William Bristol, MD, ’78
William Carion, MD, ’80
Allan Dobzyniak, MD,’69
Luke Elliott, MD,’89
Aaron Ellis, MD,’82
Mary Beth Hardwicke, MD,’84
