Minority researchers awarded

The Third Wayne State University Minority Programs Research Day was celebrated on August 24, 2000, with poster presentations by undergraduate and graduate students. The participating students represented several programs: Minority Biomedical Research Support Program (MBRS), Initiative for Minority Student Development (IMSD), Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC), National Institute of Mental Health/Career Opportunities in Research (NIMH/COR), and the Bridges to Baccalaureate Program.

The poster presentations were well received by the students and faculty who attended the event. Two first-place and two second-place prizes were awarded in the undergraduate and graduate categories. The winners were:
