CURRICULUM

Education in Anatomic Pathology includes General Autopsy and Surgical Pathology, with subspecialist training in Cytopathology, Gynecologic/Obstetrical Pathology, Pediatric Pathology, Dermatopathology, Forensic Pathology, Immunopathology, Histochemistry, Ultrastructural Pathology, Cytogenetics and Molecular Pathology. Education In Clinical Pathology includes Microbiology (Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology) Virology, Serology, Immunology, Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, Chemical Pathology, Toxicology, Hematology, Coagulation, Medical Microscopy, Molecular biologic and other advanced techniques. In addition, there is instruction and experience in administration/ management of hospital and out reach laboratories to include clinical consultations, data processing, informatics, and quality assurance. There are educational experiences including didactic and clinical conferences, medical student teaching at WSU School of Medicine, and research and scholarly activities.
